Mariners On Main Studios

Practice your yoga, go for a spin or dance to your favourite music in our studios located in the downtown Mariners on Main facility!

Spin Studio

Spin bikes are a great way to work on your cardiovascular health with the encouragement and support of a great instructor. Looking to spin alone? Drop-in to one of our spin times for an introduction on how to properly use and adjust your bike!

Schedule:

Stop in Monday and Wednesday at 4:45pm, or Friday’s at noon for group Spin classes. The rest of the time our spin studio is open for drop-ins independent spin!

Dance & Fitness Studio

From jazz to contemporary dance, or zumba, your body will move and flow in our dance studio. Or maybe you want to focus on your balance, strength and stress relief with some guided or individual yoga, returning later this fall. We offer open studio time, rentals and group classes in a variety of fitness styles.

Please bring water, sneakers, and clothes that allow for freedom of movement for any of our fitness classes.

Schedule:

Our fitness classes rotate throughout the week with something new each day. Join us for a noon hour class Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings at 9:30am.

High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)

What is it?

“High intensity interval training” is a cardio and strength-based workout. We use timed and interval patterns to increase your heart rate and then allow it to rest

What to expect?

Expect a fun and energizing workout with modifications for all levels. There will be music and a timer to help keep us on track

Full Body Toning

What is it?

Toning is a weight training class focused on low weight and high repetitions. We go through different movements which encourage muscle toning and definition. We never leave a muscle group out – expect a whole-body workout!

What to expect?

Expect higher repetitions while using lower hand weights. The instructor will coach and cue your movements to ensure and safe and efficient workout.

Step Aerobics

What is it?

Step Aerobics is a cardio and music-based class where you step on and off a platform.

What to expect?

Expect lots of energy and movement! We ensure the class is suited to all levels. You will move to the music while stepping on and off the platform with help from the instructor.

Circuit Training

What is it?

Circuit Training is a class designed for strength training and education. We have built the class to suit all fitness levels and help advance you safely. We use timed intervals with stations so you can focus on YOU and your workout. We keep it fun and different by incorporating body weight movements, weights, battle ropes, tires and bands. 

What to expect?

Expect a variety of movements with varying difficulty. We format the class to ensure everyone can work at their comfort level through each station.

Tabata

What is it?

Tabata is a timed interval workout focused on 20 seconds of work and 10 seconds of rest. 

What to expect?

Expect short bursts of work with an even shorter burst of rest. There will be body weight movements, weights, bands, mats and other fun activities. Every class is user friendly for all levels.
