Mariners Centre Governance

Serving Yarmouth and Southwestern Nova Scotia, the Mariners Centre is dedicated to giving back to the diverse community in this region.

The Mariners Centre Board of Directors is comprised of twelve committed and passionate community leaders representing the Town of Yarmouth, Municipality of Yarmouth and Municipality of Argyle. In addition to providing guidance to the CEO, our Board of Directors are responsible for the performance of the organization and delivery on its strategic objectives.  Responsibilities include:

1. Acting in the best interest of the organization at all times

2. Delivering on the organization’s mission and implementing strategic plans

3. Serving the local community

4. Monitoring, reviewing and assessing the performance of the organization

5. Being good financial stewards for the organization’s sustainability over time.
